One more step towards an all automatic transmission world. Glad I got my M/T M2 before this goes into effect. The article doesn't specifically include the M2 but since it is part of the 2 series...

Really sad news but I'm not surprise as more and more people are purchasing the DCT these days.

Agreed, myself included is guilty of choosing the DCT over the manual. BMW will probably soon follow in MB's footsteps and won't offer anymore manual cars.
